i still cant believe he didnt hit the green from the middle of the fairway at the last hole of Open at age 59. That would have been the most amazing win in golf history. A champion of his caliber lives for that moment, thats the edge he has on everybody else there. It was all about just hitting the green, not hitting it close to the pin. To think he hit 3 straight bad shots on the last hole is stunning really. I think he reached a point in his life where he wanted it too badly and that it likely would not happen again so there was a pressure he never had before. Anyway the guy made golf look easy. I followed him one day at TPC Dearborn and watched every shot. He was -2 under and I wondered how he did that because he didnt hit every green, missed putts, not a perfect round by any means it was like magic -2 under par.
