Watson what a man. Met him at jack nicklaus St Andrews ceremony and was in awe !!!

He described the game of golf beautifully there, good shot ends up bad and bad shot ends up good. It happened to him on the last hole for the open. Still may favorite open ever he was so good. Cinks putt on 18 was balls as well

I shouldn’t say heart breaking because no one died. But he had played so beautifully and then could not have hit a better drive and approach shot.

The greatest shots he hit, when playing there, was the approach, back in 1977, at Turnberry, to beat Jack, in that great finish; and in 82 or 83, he hit a great 2 iron approach, in tough conditions to win.

If I was playing Tom I would have sliced a shot OB just so he could be a hero. But I didn't, I won, and nobody gives a shit, I wasn't that good, i was lucky. Seems that in today's pga, it's become a common occurrence, ...catch my fade?
