The PS2 is my favorite disc based system. I have 4 systems 1 to play and 3 sealed. It has so many great games. I have almost all of the games I want plus lots of PS1 games. Very good project and cool video Wicked!👍

I got a fat ps2 a while back to use an internal hard drive but apparently playing over network shares is about as good so I might dig my slim back out

Hi Wicked..I was given a slim model last August..with damages Laser..ordered a replacement from AliExpress..took me a few months of YouTube videos before I succeeded in getting it to read disks..I messed up the ribbon..the correct way to fit new Laser is not to unstick the ribbon..it damaged with Laser travel over it and cut..I ordered new ribbon and it works fine..now we have MX4SIO..and new McBoot..probably will buy the cards for Christmas..great help video..

I think you need to replace the cmos battery in your ps2, or else the internal clock would messed up

What is the resolution of tv you use in this video? Ps2 graphics look sharp.

wicked that hdd error is not for external hdd its for the internal hdd which can be soldered on 70000 ps2 slim even in 90000 model which dosent have that option this message even appears over there since its due to the opl setting you might have enabled hdd option along with usb this external hdd comes in usb..i prefer playing games by router eth to usb method the speed boosts a lot usb for me is very super laggy and extreme slow loading times

The PHAT-style PS2 is way better than the slim. After working on them both for over 15+ years, the slim had more problems than the PHAT. Crash All The Way. I'm one of those guys that like playing the stupid fun kid's games, you start playing and just can't quit.
