Nick Kyrgios slams Jannik Sinner drama as World No.1 avoids doping ban | #yahoonewsaustralia

Sinner, who is ranked World No. 1, faced scrutiny after revealing that the positive tests were due to “inadvertent contamination of Clostebol” from his physiotherapy treatment.

Although less than “one billionth of a gram” was detected, an independent tribunal ruled that the amount was insufficient to justify a suspension.

However, Kyrgios said on X, “Ridiculous - whether it was an accident or planned. You get tested twice with a banned substance…you should be gone for 2 years. Your performance was enhanced.”

When a follower defended Sinner, Kyrgios responded, “Accidental? You truly believe that the physio rubbed physio cream onto a cut that made him fail 2 anabolic steroid tests. Cmon potato.”

As a result of the findings, Sinner has been stripped of over A$482,000 in prize money and 400 ranking points earned at the Masters tournament in Indian Wells.

Tested positive 2 because when you take a test and you test positive, you immediately take another one to make sure it’s not a false positive

Did they test his physio right away to confirm if he really had that substance in him in the first place?

I remember similar situation with Victor Troicki, and he had to be suspended for 2 years..

Sinner has been done a disservice. In a few years he will have lots of plasters and bandages

Half of the world's doping cases with clostebol come from Italy (mostly justified by the same/similar excuse about the wound healing cream that Janik is exposed to). It is one of the last countries in the world where clostebol is still sold. In Indian Wells, he failed a doping test and was allowed to continue competing. He should be suspended for at least two years and everything he won in 2024 should be taken away.

1) two of three doctor are from wada and all of three said that is plausible the reason because of small qty found it, qty not able to increase performance
2) doping with clostebol is dumb and I'm pretty sure all athletes knows that
3) from now on, sinner will not have excuses
4) he has to fire someone in the staff
5) it's always the same, he didn't became a hulk

What Kyrgios said in X is irrelevant! There are due process with independent experts that know who the athlete under investigation is for a reason.

Why would anyone care about what he thinks? He is only a tennis player not a lawyer. He is not rightly informed to be making comments on such matters.
