THERE IS NOTHING THAT IS A BIGGER WASTE OF TIME OR ENERGY THAN PRAYER!!!

I feel “grateful” or “blessed” to have endless clips of Hitch or many other Atheists to enjoy all day every day! Though I’m sure most people who use or believe in those words or might say “God bless you” to me would probably take back their blessings if they knew that was what I considered a blessing!

NO 2 PEOPLE ON EARTH HAVE EVER AGREED ON EVERYTHING GOD WAS TELLING THEM!!! That Might Be A Sign That There Is No God!!!

the first mention of a jesus in any documentation came 80 years after his supposed life, the greeks, romans, jews, and egyptians were all prolific writers during the time of jesus's supposed life and *not one word* was written about him.

Why would it be so horrible that we simply do not continue after death? Why is that so bad? What's bad is believing something that cannot be proven. To believe that you're special and will live forever is not reality.

Truths or Facts, can be found, discovered, tested and retested, by anyone independently outside of any books!

Like Sam Harris once said ...HOW are you going to debate people of Faith who IGNORE FACTS

What better way to get people to believe lies than to surround them with truth

I figured out, at the age of 12, that adults kept two epistemologies, “two sets of books” as it were. One for reasoning about everything else, and one for the magic of Religion. I could see that the epistemology of Religion was the same as the epistemology of children’s Pretend. Why the adults were playing at Pretend puzzled me then, in 1979. Still puzzles me.

Hitchens is wrong about Quirinius. We have documents that prove he was Proconsul of Syria approximately 14 years before Hitchens states. Albeit, Quirinius was only there for a short period of time the first time (which Luke accurately recorded) because it was a temporary assignment to cover for someone else. Hitchens is forcing his biases to obstruct objective fact.

The concept of God as a higher being, a creator is so powerful, so enticing that humanity has invented thousands of god entities over our lifespan and even now, in the Age of Science, we cling tooth and nail to the idea of a benevolent god or a wrathful god who condones murder and violence. We are still telling ourselves fairy stories with angels or demons, seemingly unaware that WE are the angels and demons.

The Gospel of Luke uses the census to date the birth of Jesus, which the Gospel of Matthew places in the time of Herod the Great (who died between 5 BCE and 1 CE). Most critical scholars acknowledge that Luke is in error, while religious academics have attempted to explain the confusion with historically unverified claims.

So, they lied, but they chose the impossible lie instead of the easy one? Logic.

The name "City of David" originates in the biblical narrative where Israelite king David conquers Jerusalem, then known as Jebus, from the Jebusites. David's conquest of the city is described twice in the Bible: once in the Books of Samuel and once in the Books of Chronicles; those two versions vary in certain details.

best argument I've heard for the existence of an actual Jesus guy.
And at the same time providing evidence of a fabricated bible.

And the whole thing about being a descendant of David…according to the Bible itself, Joseph is the one who’s the descendant of David. Not Mary. Making Jesus not a descendant of David since Joseph isn’t his father.

Just one story of many stories that expose all the inconsistencies in the book.

Mmh ... that's a great argument for the historicity of Jesus. It slightly knocked my sense in the direction "yeah, maybe a dude named Jesus did exist", instead of the "nah, probably not" direction ...
But ironically, it's only great if you don't believe in any Jesus godhood, as it simply resides in the entire birth story being bogus xD
