Merkava / War Thunder

The state of Israel had to fight for its survival right from the very beginning — and then the Israeli military had to rely on hand-me-downs from the WW2 era. They used everything, from Cromwells and Shermans to outdated Renaults… and it took the new country several decades to make a full switch to modern British and American designs.

Gotta say, Gaijin at least did one thing right - they picked a tremendous narrator for their channel! Props to you mate!

Europe: "Here, have some WW2 vintage tanks."
Israel: "Sweet but can we get something a bit more modern?"
Europe: "lolno"
Israel: "Fine, I'll do it myself."

I once saw a Merkava brigade training in the "Negev" (Israel desert) that was really cool

It's just not the same without the chains with balls of steal hanging down the back of the turret.

My favorite Merkava tank? The one that you can unlock in the tech tree, of course! Oh wait...

Gaijin could just have add the Israeli tanks on American tech tree with their own line of research tanks like what they did on the South africa on British tech tree

I saw a merkava twice in real life, it's a very cool tank, that made me appreciate the complexity of modern tanks.

Also, my grandfather was an IDF sherman commander in the yom kippur war (1973), and got an award for that.

Inside War Thunder, I am planning on buying a merkava, but I first need to get a few tanks closer to that br, because my main interest is planes, and I don't know how to properly play top tier (or almost top tier) tanks.

When I was eleven, my parents took me to Israel for my mother's birthday. Our tour guide was an Israeli native and was an active member of the IDF. Because at the time I was super engaged in the military as a young lad, he took us to an military base and we met with some of the soldiers there. While my parents weren't looking the young guys put a helmet and flak vest on me and gave me a M4 (that I think wasn't loaded looking back lol). Mom took a picture, and then we got to see what I think was the Merkava Mk4. I got to climb in it too. I don't know about the space thing for the Mk4 if it was that model since it was super tight, but overall it was a great experience.

Day 8: make test runs possible for non-premium vehicles that you don't own too (and maybe update the test run arena!)

Please add the balls and chains to the Merkava series, you guys already added animated buckets to several tanks, this shouldnt be too hard

I saw a Merkava in the Tank museum of Saumur (France). It was one of the widest tanks of the museum! and also the only one that have a full presentation, from the enginering to the combat activities, in videos and multiple photos.
