How to Write the PERFECT Literature Essay in 7 *Easy* Steps!

Writing a literature essay can be difficult, but if you follow these steps, you'll be a pro in no time!

This video explains how to write a literature essay to ensure you achieve maximum marks. These 7 easy steps will stop you dreading writing literature essays, and instead help you feel capable and ready to tackle them head-on.

1. Prepare. Learn about your chracters - values, goals, hidden agendas. Focus on their relationships with each other too.

Themes, symbols and main events and how they contribute to development. Learn some quotes.

Use colours picture or drawing to make your notes simple

2. Read your question. Highlight/underline important worfs. Pay attention to your attention words.

3. Plan. Make notes of what you want to include into your essay.

4. Choose one topic for each paragraph. About three paragraphs (main) ideas that link back to your topic.

5. Write your introduction (quick overview of what your essay is about). It should be about 3-4 sentences long.

6. Write your body. 3 paragraph adresses your mian ideas. Use the PEAL method for each paragraph:

Evidence
Explain
Link

7. Write your conclusion. Sum up what your discussed in your essaym. If your opinion was requested, state it clearly in your conclusion. Same length as introduction (3-4 sentences)

Your essay should have a total of 5 paragraphs.
