it has been said in an faq about the wreckers: they keep the jet pack becoming champions. and if a wrecker dies you cant give is equipment to another member of your gang you have to buy a wrecker.. the jet pack is considered lost

I really like the Orlocks post House of Iron. Their specialists can rock up with heavy weapons in the late game which is a nice way to have a rule of cool harpoon or use hand me down heavy weapon after upgrading a champions gun. Combat shotguns and grenade launchers are cheap but deadly. And the arc hammer makes an amazing counter charge weapon for a melee arms master. Most of the unique names are kinda low impact but there's enough good stuff which doesn't add to the characters cost to make it worthwhile. They've got a nice mix of speed, shooting and close combat which makes it hard to go wrong with them.

Oh and the Van Saar specialists can rock heavy weapons too. Not just the Orlocks. But then the Van Saar is already so shooty I'm not sure it adds the same level of value as for the Orlocks!

Another great starter gang overview. Can't wait to play Orlock in my groups next campaign this Jan. Big bucks gang, bc why not. I think I'll lean into the combat shotguns and a pair of wreckers to initially harry the enemy with nades and stubbers.

My Gang before my House
My House before everyone else.

Freaking love these guys. In a world of really weird people and ideals, these guys look at it all and say "Gimme my shotgun".

I'm looking at starting an orlock gang with the base box and some spare bits, I have escher and goliath but orlock are dear to my heart as I used them years ago when I first started. Current list I'm looking at making using GotU until I get the HoI book: Leader w Bolter, stub gun Fixer. Champ w bolter stub gun and ballistics expert. Champ w heavy stubber, stub gun munitioneer. 33x gangers with autogun, 2x gangers with combat shotgun (salvo+shredder) 995 creds Thoughts?

So Raw the champions can only be equipped with wargear from their wargear list and the trade post this means that until they add jump boosters to the trade post you can't take them with your promoted arms dealers

Is there a list for 'Long-Medium' range... Or do Orlocks mainly focus on medium to short range?

New player here. When reading the house of iron book, it reads to me that the leaders/champions can only start with one skill, but you have 2 listed for most in your lists. Is there a way to purchase additional skills upon gang creation? I can’t find any rules about it and am wondering if I’m just missing something obvious

Can I start a gang just with the wreckers and arms master box?

List two you have grenade launchers in which you do not get with any of the sets so list 2 is more list 3 than anything else. You'd need to buy the plastic weapon sets or the fw packs

I’m using the Mr Moneybags list for my first gang but I’m confused how I get big names? Can I start with those AND have a skill?
