We have yet another beautiful clutch of hognose snakes hatching today, including 1 (or is it 2?) superconda baby/ies!! Unfortunately, we have some sad news about their mother, Omnomlette... :(

Ohhh nooo, poor Omnom!!! She brought so much love and joy and knowledge to so many! I am so sorry that she passed. She will always be an OG Snake Discovery Legend! Maybe as time goes on, y’all can create a Legacy Wall in the zoo for the most beloved SD family members with photos and “famous for” signs. Sending lots of love to everyone who loved and will miss Omnomlette!

My favorite Omnomlette moment is the FOLLOWING year after the baby eating incident when everyone was so paranoid she'd do it again 😅 And it's still not clear if she did! What a little menace.

Nothing could stop Omnomlette. From eating her kids, to sneaking a few more, to INSISTING on having a good clutch - at her own expense unfortunately. RIP sweet noodle

One of the babies should be named Omalee, or Nomalee, in honor of Omnomlette. She was one of my favorites too. As soon as I saw she had a 2nd clutch, I had a bad feeling. Thank you guys for being such amazing breeders, and I'm sure we will go on to love Omnomlette's legacy

Omnomlette was a beloved snake that everyone is going to miss. She was one of the first snakes I saw on your channel that helped me get over my fear of snakes and now I'm here raising a breeding pair of my own. You can tell how loved by the community she was, and atleast we'll still have her babies out there continuing her legacy. Thank you for all the good times and laughs Omnomlette ❤

RIP Omnomlette. It's never easy losing pets, my own dog just had a serious surgery and I don't know what I'd do without her. However, it wasn't anybody's fault: she lived spicy and died spicier--no hecks given. She left behind a legacy and that's what's important.

My favorite memories are just the panic when you realize she’s laid and the rush to get the eggs out lol. She was a beautiful snake and well loved. You guys are the best 🥰

I loved how Omnomlette was always ready for a snack. Any time you opened her drawer she was like, "What are you going to feed me today?" Such a sassy girl! 😍
