Omg the bloated egg hatched and was healthy???? Amazing!
I was so sure it wasn't gonna hatch, or even be alive. From what we could see it looked very pink, and the baby inside also looked very pink and small, like it stopped developing. But then you cut the egg and it was alive, and I thought about the lil poor baby who did hatch, had their head out, but was all kinked and the two halves of their body were fused together and started splitting... I'm so so so happy it wasn't the case for this one!

I met you at the sac show and I told you my dream snake was a hognose but I couldn’t get one. Well as of today, I officially have my dream snake. She’s an albino conda with a very unique pattern. Still haven’t decided on a name yet!

I’m still very much afraid of snakes, started watching SD out of curiosity, a little bit of masochism and forcing myself to face a big fear that I always had. Even though I probably still can’t handle being close or touching a snake I don’t flinch when I see your videos anymore and appreciate their beauty. Hopefully someday I’ll fully conquer this fear!

Ed and Emily - thank you for sharing your passion for snakes on YouTube. I have never been a fan of snakes, but watching your videos has given me a newfound appreciation for them. So much so that my new obsession is watching a channel called ‘Project RattleCam’. It is a 24/7 channel during the summer that studies prairie rattlesnakes in Colorado. I have been able to share some of what I’ve learned from you with others in the chat. Last night we were treated to a live viewing of prairie rattlesnakes being born in the rookery. It was amazing to watch!
