myself I dont care about trails and routes others have saved generally. I go on my own hikes and bike rides out in the desert and want to record and retrieve them and also draw in map often before leaving. all trails is nothing but trouble and am thinking of trying gai gps

Great series! I have zero experience overlanding. Question: are there definitions for the road types? What is the terrain expectation of “Minor Roads, etc.?” I have a stock SR5 with highway tires. What rad types can I handle. Planning a trip into WV with my boys (young adults). We will be on our own, so I can’t risk getting stuck. TIA.

My struggle is I love using my old ipad pro with cellular data. Even with it plugged into an cigarette lighter charger. Need at least like 6 hours. If Im close to town its pretty good but out in the desert not so much. Any ideas?
