Anyone want to see broadheads for part 2?

Your advice @12:00 is excellent: 'just get started, be picky later'. Same goes for 'diminishing returns'.
Get the arrow you need, not the arrow you want.

When MFJJ rolls up on that bike I thought for sure he was gonna say “got room for one more if you wanna go to Aspen!”

I couldn't agree more with "just get started.". I just bought my first bow a month or two ago, peer pressure, but I enjoy going out with the boys and just relaxing. More smiles per shot then all my friends shooting flagship bows. Archery has changed my life for the best!

Im sure you know a lot more about archery than I do, but I will say that im not shocked that your grouping suffered after firing so many arrows back to back. I would wager that if you shot the cheap arrows first, you would have scored better with them. Still a fantastic video and its earned you a subscriber. Im getting back into archery after being away for several years. I was fortunate enough to go to a high school with an archery club, and I was in it all throughout high school, I truly wish I had gone more though. I was proud that I sold my bow to a first year upon exiting high school, I hope it served him well. I've contemplated getting an archery club started at my local high school and volunteering to coach. It truly was one of the best parts of my high school experience.

You are absolutely right about the parallels with golf. Years ago I met a guy in my archery club who told me the reason people like archery is because when you hit the center of the target you're "getting your goodie." You can have five terrible shots and that one that hits the center still feels good. It keeps you coming back. The same goes for golf. You can have a terrible round, but you remember that one approach shot that landed two feet from the flag or that long putt you sank. Getting your goodie....so true !!

Wow, I know Gold tip makes some good arrows, but that was really informative! I would not hesitate to shoot those Warrior arrows. The way Tim built the arrows so methodically is critical, thanks for including that.

The nock blew out because the inside of that shaft is an air tight chamber. When the field point slammed into the target steel it forced that point back into the shaft raising the air pressure inside the shaft to the point that it defeated the glue at the nock. I have some 5000fps video of it happening and it's wild to watch.

Also for cheap arrows I hate to admit it but times are tough and I need arrows for a few hunters in the house so I went with some Chinese sanlidas the x9 .003 straightness 2 dozen arrows for $80 delivered. Fletched which I’ll pull off and refletch after I press and find the dynamic spine with some bully vanes. Also inserts and points.

Thanks for taking the time to put this together. I shoot the Victory VAP Elite .166 with the Victory Penetrator outserts. Very expensive. I may put together some aluminum arrows and see if there is a big difference. Thanks again

Thank you, just proven a point for me. Its not always the equipment, cheaper is sometimes as good as expensive.

Good information Jim. You speak my language for hunting bows.

Just got back onto compound bows after 35 years of traditional bows. Reminds me of Old Times.

Hope we meet sometime. We have a hunting lodge in Lewis county and have so much fun watching YouTube in the evenings. Pretty sure my friends know you. Chris, Dylan and Trevor Knopp.

best advice i heard when i started recurve was 'you can't buy scores', and this holds pretty much true for every sport i've ever played

Idk how I’ve never heard of “paralysis by analysis” before, but jeez is that accurate for me 😅

The comparison to golf is spot on. I compare golf to billiards. Logical reasoning, Archery = Billiards. Earned a sub. Great content.

I did a group test at 20 yards with Easton Hexx vs some Walmart mossy oak which I think they are Victory arrows. There was a significant difference in the group.

Shoutout to Tim for using the target cam to block the dude in the back giving him sneak a peak at a bar vibes.
