Trump: If I lose the Jewish people would have a lot to do with it

Donald Trump said on Thursday that “the Jewish people” would have a “lot to do with it” if he loses the presidential election to Kamala Harris.

The former president claimed that Israel would likely cease to exist within two years should Vice President Harris win the election and that Jews would be to blame because of their tendency to vote for the Democrats.

The Jewish community, which represents just two per cent of the US population, is regarded as one of the most consistently liberal groups in the country.

I thought the Telegraph was good at honest, accurate reporting, but it turns out I was wrong. Trump is clearly referring to the fact that Jewish people’s vote matters in terms of numbers; not in terms of illicit influence.

He’s saying it will have an impact if they don’t vote for him. Whether this is correct or not is not the issue; the issue is that the news deliberately twist Trump’s words.
