Even if I dont have any quartz, I really understand the question and doesn't seem awkward at all to me. There are a lot of mechanical out there that are really affordable. If you just save a little for 2 years or so you will be able to have something classic and timeless if you want. Plus it's one of the few souvenir we as men wear out there

There are very nice quartz movements though that are very lucrative to get such as Grand Seiko and Bulova iterations and those movements I give a pass but never compare because it’s 2 different worlds

Madness more people have quartz watches. But high end quality quartz watches ⌚️ are just as good as automatic. Just get up and go 😅 more accurate no water bulshit adjusting

Germans and Japanese automatic watches can also be quality. Just ordered a Pitzmann III, a Korean Daytona clone with a respected Japanese movement.

Two different worlds but quartz digital is still desirable and very collectible .

It's all about the "fancy" factor I'm sure if watchmakers come up with a way to make quartz watches more fancy they will blow up again. Something like making the movement out of more expensive materials and more artistically.

There are quality watchmakers around the world not just Switzerland

Quartz watches can do all you said about the fancy watches in terms of performance and tasks.
In fact even better than than mechanical watches as they're digital.
Highlighting that citizen mass produced watch was a tad pathetic to prove a point.

Why would people buy a Koenigsegg for 3 million when they could buy a Nissan Versa for 20k ? One of them is produced by hand I'm very limited quantity the other one is mass produced by machines is the same thing you're asking about the watches you get what you pay for and there is no substitute for craftsmanship produced by the human hand not a machine

I agree totally with what Riman said, you can beat a high end luxury watch. I love the engineering of these fine timepieces. High horology is fascinating 😊

You cant compare this two Types of watches. The Quarz is only a timepiece, the other is a piece of Art with so much interstin stuff inside.

Only the Anker to count the seconds in a mechanical Watch, so satisfining to Watch at the movement. ❤
