Cassie is the perfect person to watch react to this series because she knows nothing about the game/story so it's all going to be a surprise PLUS she's already pulled in emotionally to the story which is the biggest strength of this show. Looking forward to the rest of this reaction series :)

I literally said to myself, "oh no Cassie what are you doing?", when I saw the thumbnail. It honestly shows how much you've grown as a reactor. You handled yourself like a champ, and will be rewarded with a beautify acted, filmed, and written series. Storytelling at its finest.

Cordyceps is a real fungus and it acts very similar to as described. It only takes over insects, though. Mainly ants. In reality, cordyceps spreads using tiny spores but those spores can coat something entirely, so you'd have to walk around in a haz-mat suit, like the doctor was wearing, and go through a very thorough decontamination whenever you wanted to remove the suit. If they had the spores in the series, humans wouldn't have any hope of surviving, so it's transmitted mainly through bites and they have the tendrils instead of spores in the show. It really is a nightmare idea, but, thankfully, the fungi capable of this kind of thing have shown no sign of adapting to higher temperatures. They do try to make it as realistic as possible, though, so the whole infected thing can be truly terrifying. Luckily, they are part of the story, but the focus is on the people. There are whole episodes without any infected in them. The first couple of episodes are so scary because they're setting everything up for the premise of the series. The stories of the people, though, are on the same level as the Titanic movie. If you enjoy that kind of story of love and friendship, then you will definitely enjoy this series. Please, stick with it. I think you'll really enjoy it in the long run.

I believe you can do this! I don't like to give even tiny spoilers like "Episode 44 made me cry" or "Episode 19 was the most incredible thing ever, " because I believe even those types of spoilers can affect a reaction. The reactor goes into episode 44 expecting something sad, and because they're prepared, they just don't react the same as they would blind. So, all I will say is this: If you stick with it, I think you'll be glad you did.

I've played the game like 6+ times and that opening scene with Sarah never fails to make me cry.. Like cry.. The show does a good job at translating it to live action. :(

The writing and attention to detail in this series is incredible. Yes, the infected are creepy and terrifying, but they are only a small part of the overall story. At times, the story will make you cry, because it is so well written. I'm nearly 50, and on a couple of occasions I have had tears in my eyes.

Tess was the lead character in a show called Fringe. It's kind of like the Twilight zone meets X-files, with an awesomely entertaining crazy, mad scientist thrown in. I highly recommend it 😀

At the end of episode 2, the "kiss" Tess is infected and already losing control.. The infected guy is able to sense she's infected, which is why he doesn't attack her. He's helping the infection take over and with the last bit of her that's left she's able to get that lighter to light.. I hope you decide to continue watching, It's not an easy journey. But, I believe it's worth it. :)
