How can something touch you so much while you don’t understand a single word❤️

Apparently its an Icelandic children's song/lullaby which KALEO performing perfectly!:
Sleep my little love,
Outside the rain is weeping.
Mommy keeps watch over your gold,
Old leg bones and a little treasure chest.
Let's not stay awake through dark nights.

There is much that darkness knows,
My mind is heavy.
Often I've seen the black sand
Scorching green meadows.
In the glacier rumbles deadly-deep cracks.

Sleep long, sleep tight,
It's best to wake up late.
Hardship will teach you soon,
While the day becomes night,
That the people love, lose, cry and mourn.

For anyone interested in the songs history it's adapted from a poem for an old play called Fjalla Eyvindur and is sung by Halla who is Eyvidurs wife to their infant just before she throws it down a waterfall when they are about to be captured.

„Sleep, my young love“ is a neo-romantic poem by Jóhann Sigurjónsson. A very sad poem, when you know the story and understand the meaning behind the words.
The poem, which is from an Icelandic folk tale, about the outlaws Fjalla-Eyvindur Jónsson and his wife Halla Jónsdóttir who is singing their little child to sleep just before she is forced to throw it into a waterfall to prevent it from falling into the hands of theyr persecutors, who where trying to catch them but the child would have slowed them down in the escdape.

Find the lyrics below in original Icelandic and in English:

Sofðu, unga ástin mín,
– úti regnið grætur.
Mamma geymir gullin þín,
gamla leggi og völuskrín.
Við skulum ekki vaka um dimmar nætur.

Það er margt sem myrkrið veit,
– minn er hugur þungur.
Oft ég svarta sandinn leit
svíða grænan engireit.
Í jöklinum hljóða dauðadjúpar sprungur.

Sofðu lengi, sofðu rótt,
seint mun best að vakna.
Mæðan kenna mun þér fljótt,
meðan hallar degi skjótt,
að mennirnir elska, missa, gráta og sakna.

Ljóð: Jóhann Sigurjónsson

Sleep now softly little love,
outside rain is falling.
Mother guards your treasure trove,
hoard of bones and chest for stones.
We shall not stay awake through nights of darkness.

Many secrets darkness keeps,
my mind is dark and heavy.
Many times I’ve black sand seen
scorch the grass of meadows green.
Deep in the ice the fissures groan in darkness.

Sleep now softly, sleep so long,
late is best to waken.
Troubles soon will teach you so,
while each day will quickly go,
that people will love, lose, cry and mourn each other.

Whenever I read comments like "good music doesn't exist anymore nowadays", I come back to Kaleo- to remind myself that not only good, but excellent music DOES still exist.

This is amazing and a perfect example of how music has a universal language. He's singing ' Sleep, my young Love'. I love the entire song, but the part at 3:11 when the guitar and drums hit is exciting.

I cried with this song. Seeing the majesty of the world we live in and hearing the song accompanying the images gave me goosebumps. Thank you very much Kaleo for making music and giving us audiovisual art, you are incredible.
Greetings from Argentina 🇦🇷
