This is a wonderful interview. Shatner is certainly a living legend. But the interviewer, Richard Quest, acts like he's auditioning for a role in an overacting manner.

The original episodes were the best ...

Captain Kirk was an intergalactic man-ho.... No matter where in the universe he went he always got the foxy lady... Everyone likes James Bond but Captain Kirk had a damn starship and more chicks....

The last question was rather strange. The guy's an actor, not a space explorer.

When asked about the success and appeal of the show i thought he'd say ' it was the hot chicks in short skirts'.... would've been a good answer.

Rest In Peace to the original cast members such as Leonard Nimoy, DeForest Kelley, James Doohan, and Majel Barrett.

And above all RIP Gene Roddenberry and to any other cast members from the ST series.

He looks like he is in his mid 50’s and yet he is 86???? God bless him!

Very insightful responses from Shatner. Good stuff. It's just too bad that Star Trek is now less of a philosophical sci-fi franchise and more of a straight up action one. I doubt I'll ever care much for the new stuff but at least we'll always have the classic stuff to go back to.

When will interviewers stop asking that stupid question: "Did you have any idea at the time that you were doing something that would be one of the biggest things in entertainment ever?" No. Of course not.
