These designs emphasize functionality, versatility, and futuristic aesthetics. Collaboration with industry partners like Lockheed Martin and General Motors is enhancing rover capabilities. The competition's rigorous criteria include 10-year operating life, precise navigation, and autonomous power generation. Teams are receiving significant funding, with Intuitive Machines disclosing $30 million. Astrolab's Flex Rover, with a working prototype and SpaceX's interest, stands out.
