@starblazers1969
pretty sure that was not what he ment. He ment, "why did our form of life start here and not there". And most likly he goes alot further, he must also be asking "if there are life here, then why not also life there?"

Amazing how every thing forms in space! We are just looking at many different stages of life, How solar systems grow before our eyes!

"Why aren't we there?" is like an inkblot test on philosophy written on an undercurrent of science parchment. He is the poetic Yogi Berra of exoplanetary science. My translation: "Scientifically, WTF is on that exoplanet that we need to know about that also causes us to exist at all? What's similar to here? What's diff? If a lot is similar, then we could just have easily sprung forth over there as we did here! We might know how life begins if we study this!" Keep asking, Yogi, and get answers!

Yes, we can all agree on that. Even assuming things like typos, they have to had made multiple ones in succession.

As the most recent commenter said: NASA, you are better than this!

@0PsycoDad0 "Fomalhaut b is an extrasolar planet approximately 25 light-years away in the constellation of Piscis Austrinus."

how does a planet hunter find out several planets based on wobble... i mean if there is wobble there could be one or more planets or moon how does one determine there are more than one planet .

The title listed Fomalhaut as 2 billion ly from the Sun. Did noone catch such a massive error?

@0PsycoDad0 they just explaining how the coronagraph works

But that is off by a factor of 100, not even counting the unit discrepancy.

I'm not sure I buy the evidence for exoplanets.

0:59 Fomalhaut is 2.4 Billion Light Years from earth? Really? That's a pretty good image from that distance lol it's more like 25 light years away - silly nasa.

Why do human beings have to be on every planet? is it not bad that we are wasting everything on this planet that we need to go and get the others to ruin too?? What is so special about human beings that needs to spread? Not sure where this ego comes from....theres likely much more that is yet to be discovered...and hopefully if we choose to go there, we will encounter life that will eliminate humankind.

The world is my country, to promote science is my religion-Carl Sagan.
To Nadiya Ward, belief in one book alone is the sign of an irrational mind. I contend that such thoughts is why we have an idiot government that throws away Kepler like a loyal old dog when it can be used for so valuable world telescope time. It reflects the irrational backward citizens of this country. No wonder the rest of the world is beating us in everything. We are returning to the Dark Ages.

The level of errors in this video is just embarrassing. Come on NASA, you can do better!
