I thought this for the last few episodes, and if you go back and watch the conversation in episode two, you can clearly see that when William/Billy raises the topic she doesn’t take it seriously at first. Also, if you look around William/Billy’s room when he comes home from the hospital, you can see all the signs that point to the different trials that he’s pulling out of his subconscious. Beach house from the picture of his families vacation, his love of classic rock, various magic movies from Alice in Wonderland to the Wizard of Oz, and of course a ouija board. It’s all there.

I think the reason why Agatha made up the Witches Road and it's song was a way for Lilia and the others to purposely get angry at her and attack her by blasting their magic at her if they found out the truth about it being entirely fake, so that she could absorb their powers. Just a theory. 😊❤
