Interior Designers, do you wish you could streamline the process of creating lots of interior elevations from linked models?
I'm sure you are aware that Revit doesn't currently let you create elevations based on rooms and you have to manually adjust the view crop.
In this video, I show how to simplify that process and make it less tedious.

Is there a way to get Revit to include the edge of floors walls and ceilings in room elevations. Room elevations are really sections, and to include that good stuff in room elevation sheets gives so much more useful info.
It seems as though the original tool was created by non architects. Everyone expects room elevations now as Revit makes them.

How do you only have 5k subscribers when you are showing literally practical workflows used in a day to day basis?! this is crazy! You just earned my subscription! I love your content man and now I'm gonna make use of them and add them into my workflows! In terms of automation question, what would be useful is how to automate tagging 3D components within the room used for room data sheets. Particularly useful on hospital projects, having all models in the room tag in one click would be a huge time saver! My issue at the moment is that I have to tag them all manually, these 3D component varies in type from generic model to furniture like chair, IPS wall, sinks, speciality equipment like a hoist, beds etc - and the align them in the centre or above the item or position the tags accordingly then repeat the whole process to another 100 rooms etc.. Is there a way to automate this using dynamo? This would save me and possibly a lot of people a lot time! 😅 It would be great if there is one

Thanks for the vid - Just wondering how do you get it to create views that are square to your plan if its not square?

great tip, never thought about transferring views. Is there any way to transfer rooms? (especially rooms 2d shapes?)
