Putin's Russia Scrambles Su-27 As It Intercepts British Warplanes Over Black Sea

The Russian Defence Ministry issued a statement and accused the UK of trying to invade its airspace over the Black Sea. Russia said it identified the three jets as Royal Air Force Rc-135 reconnaissance aircraft & two Typhoons. The latest confrontation has sparked fears of an armed conflict between Russia and the NATO member UK while war rages in Ukraine.

When you fly in international air space and the HT/Russianstan Times makes out its all one sided. Russia does this regularly down past Norway, Scotland and to Ireland. The only difference is Russian warplanes turn off their transponders and thats one of the reasons they're intercepted, to steer civilian aircraft away from them.

UK pilots would not have flown into Russian airspace. Also, they don't need to. They have surveillance and monitoring equipment in the air and in space that can see and hear everything going on in Russia without eve crossing the border.
