I retired on May 15th with a goal to get my condo in order. My place is a mess and I can’t seem to force myself into the shower much less clean the house. I appreciate your videos so much. ❤

This is so nice to know that I'm not alone and other peoples houses get just like mine because sometimes the guilt of it all makes you feel like you're the only one. Thank you for your transparency! ☺

I can't tell you enough how thankful I am for these videos. I struggle with severe depression and anxiety and it gets worse when I beat myself up because my house doesn't look like an instagram picture. Thank you.

My mother 92 used to put a long strip of foil just under the gas burners,
One each side. She would toss these out when they became messy.
Keep up the good work.

You said the magic word, “ being home alone “ that’s the only way I can get anything done. Other wise I’m playing servant ! It’s truly hard to be depressed and try to keep a clean house. I appreciate this video ❤️

What keeps me coming back to your videos is your countertop messes and how real it is. So many times I see videos that talk about extreme mess and they have like 2 dishes on the counter. I click away at that point already because mine looks like yours right now and it is motivating to see someone who struggled like I am currently.
Thank you for your inspiring videos.

I need this. I don’t have any children. I have depression and adhd and my bedroom is trashed. I’m sleeping on the floor because my bed is covered by clothes and clutter I send my laundry out it saves me laundry money and I get everything back folded already. I’m the student in my family.

I raised all boys and now they are grown and gone. I have the cleanest house ever and I miss the messes. I feel badly for the Moms who do this struggling with depression. Hugs to you all. One day believe me, you will miss the mess. 🥰

Thank you for being genuine. This is so common. I was a military spouse for 16 years, with three young children. My husband was gone for at least 6 months a year. I battled depression, so I was constantly playing catch up. I often felt inferior to other mothers until I found out that we were all in the same boat but in different ways. I had to remember that being the best Mom I could be was the most important thing. Some days it was just sitting down and having a tea party with my girls in a dirty living room. My children are adults now, but they tell me that all they remember was having fun with me and being happy. That made me cry with relief when I heard that. Thank you for sharing the truth.

I am a 67 year old woman retired teacher with a 62 year old retired hubs. Our kids and grandkids live out of state.
I have had chronic Bipolar for 35 years. I take meds, see a psychiatrist, and sleep as much as I can. I also have Diabetes.

My hubs and I do a good job of keeping a clean and tidy townhouse. But we had clutter in closets and under all the sinks, linen closet. Your declutter videos motivate me. Thank you.
Try to make it a priority to clean kitchen and dishes after main meals. It will give you a breath of fresh air and help with the depression. Take 10 minutes in each room to tidy a little. I know you have kids but just get into your cleaning groove a little most every day.
Our daughter has five kids. They just moved into a new house and she finally keeps a pretty clean home.
If we can do it, you can too!
Keep up the videos and the decluttering!
Your friend Shane

This is so realistic, thank you sharing this! Cleaning can be a breeze with the right tool. Also, don't forget to clean your air. Clean air helps clear mind!

This cements my decision on not habit children, I already find it very difficult keeping a home with just myself and my partner tidy. Having kids or a kid would make my life hellish in terms of chores, mess etc which exasperates my depression and anxiety.

I'm 7 months pregnant and this video just makes me feel so good to see a normal dirty house and seeing you clean it. I have 0 motivation but this definitely uplifted my mood enough to do some small cleaning today!

I just found your channel and this video resonates for me. I'm a mama who struggles with anxiety & depression and I often lose myself in everything. My husband wonders how I get through stuff and all I can tell him is I just put myself into a survival mode. I somehow shut-in my emotions to make sure laundry is done, dishes are washed, I ready myself for my job every day, I drive kids to sports & dance after work and school... but then I break down when the emotions are just too much.... my house turns into a total disaster with stuff everywhere, dog hair covering the floor, overflowing laundry baskets, bathrooms needing a major overhaul....
Thank you for this video!! ❤
