As a Max fan, I can say its 100% his fault. Had he waited to get past that turn without an incident like this, the win was bound to be his since the 5s track limit was going to apply for Norris.

Hulk in p6 is the most exciting thing to happen this year!

Verstappen is 26, Norris is 24. Kinda mouthwatering to think that we might have 5-6 years in the future of these two doing crazy battles like they just did. As long as they don't get shit cars.

The collision was Max fault.
But Lando dive bomb twice without keeping it on track, Max had to make avoidance maneuvers. That is also why Lando got track limits. So Lando wasn’t not clean himself. The same Lando putting Max in the grass last week was for me also ok. Let them fight. It is was make F1 nice to look.

McLaren tyre deg was unbelievable. Even Oscar was 'running long' with no drop off.

I loved the race, Carlos being anonymous then ending up on the Podium was the most Carlos thing to happen, Leclerc being unlucky and messing up in Quali was the most Leclerc thing to happen.

Did you notice that Max do this against every driver except Charles.
He and Charles always had clean battles, except "just an inchident" one 😂😂

Good analysis. I have no problem putting this one on Max, but some people lose all sense of perspective. F1 needs controversy. and some salt and pepper. It has always been that way and always will. On to the next race, looking forward to a warm reception of the British public for my man Max 😅

I don’t get why there is a debate here. Once upon a time, Max drove into Lando under breaking. Full stop. End of story.

More I look at it the more I believe Lando had space to move more to the left. He could of easily gone half a car to the left. Its racing, if you don't expect the other person to try and close doors and squeeze you out then you are in the wrong place.

Lando squeezed Max more on previous race. Max still just went even wider. Its simple.

Lando could of done the same. And totally avoided the incident.

He seemed too hot generally on those laps, both of them did. And in the end, nothing wrong with that either. Just that sometimes these battles make for the greatest moments, other times they are incidents.

Neither of them ultimately deserves blame, or penalties, they pushed hard, that is what they are there to do. To push hard.

I don’t like to hate on Max, but the whole “nobody shall pass me ever” ending in crashes really makes him look like a “sore loser”

As a Max fan, it was definitely on Max. Here's my interpretation - Lando didn't put 2 left wheels on the kerbs. Max thought he would because that opens the corner up more so you can have a better exit. Essentially, Lando was more to the right than Max expected and thus gave less space. So it's really just a bad judgement of where Lando is (remember Lando was on the left and it was a right corner, Max can't keep staring at his left mirror so this was a gut feeling thing he had to do and his feeling was wrong). It's really not as big of a deal as some people try to make it out to be... some people are saying he intentionally hit him... ridiculous. Just made a bad judgement about Lando's position and accidentally banged wheels. Nothing we haven't seen from many other drivers before.

Whoever is at fault, the way this race unfolded, not just at the front, tells us that there will be lot's of close racing in the coming races. That's what we want to see, not just one driver doing carrousel running in front.

If you look at the onboard, you can see that Max had his steering wheel strait the whole time during breaking, therefor he was not changing direction under breaking, he even steered away from Lando to turn into the corner before the collision occurred.

I totally disagree. He’s aloud to swing out to make the turn. That’s NOT moving under breaking. That’s the IDEAL RACING LINE. He’s ahead. He chooses his line. NOT moving under braking.

Verstappen was at fault for the contact causing the punctures, but I get so annoyed when people like Norris will dive-bomb a corner and basically impede or run off the driver and have the nerve to say they were ahead in the corner. No Norris, you were .5 seconds on every divebomb and went straight instead of turning right. And the 5 second penalty for track limits should've been handed to him immediately, what was there to discuss? Norris already had the black and white flag and clearly missed the corner, went off track, gained an advantage and took the lead. It doesn't matter if he gained the position back, it's a slam dunk penalty.

The driver who surprised us the most today was Russell. Apart from risking the team result at the beginning, when he was battling with Hamilton, he drove so well that, in fact, we did not recognize his driving style.
Congratulations to Russell on improving his driving style so much & winning the race.😊😊

Verstappen didn’t try to blame anyone else in the post race interview. But Red Bulls pit stop is to blame, plus they could’ve told Max Lando had a 5 sec penalty looming too. Max was sticking his elbows out too far and that because Red Bull screwed up his hard work and all he had was that 8 second lead too lean on after being put on scrubbed mediums and they screwed him. But Max didn’t put the blame on anyone else in the interview.
