I made a light painting using a laser pointer…

Put the laser on the end of a stick. Then hold the stick like you would a rifle. You will have pinpoint accuracy and stability and will be able to do that picture cleanly from a 100 yards +. This is the basic idea of why rifles look like they do, and why pistols are so much harder to be accurate with.

Edit: You could also add a "bipod" for extra accuracy.

draw the image on something transparent, go behind it and just follow the lines with a light as if you are using a pen. Should give good results with little effort.

I have another idea:there are these sheets wich are fluorecent when you shine on them with a light (so with a laser you can see what you draw bevor and it is more like when you are drawing with a pencil).its just a idea but maby you could try.

Have the laser on the back of the paper so it's easier but use thin paper as well

Ive been playing around with green and red laser light paintings for a while. It is pretty difficult to get it steady. I've built a type of stencil track to hold the laser. Im still improving on the design. But it works decently.

Do an exposure photo of the stars and center the North Star(Polaris), it will look like the stars are parts of circles going around the North Star. It will take a few hours tho ( the stars go around at I think 15 degrees an hour)

if you look at the horse they add lots of little fancy lines to make it less noticeable with mistakes, also not an outline unless it's super simple cause hands be wobbly :)

I reckon if you attach the back of it to a fixed point that could swivel, you could get a lot more accurate.
Longer shaft would help too.
