So they could in theory add a line in of Palpatine thanking jar-jar but refer to him as "his apprentice" and then Jar goes from the most annoying character to someone being intentonally in the way.

The blood transfusion angle wouldn't work scientifically... Kaleesh and humans are to different to make it viable. They are two TOTALLY different species. You can't give a baboon a blood transfusion from a goat.
