Antibiotics for this? Thanks to excessive use of antibiotics in general they slowly aren't working anymore because bacteria are more and more resistant so think twice before using them

"Keep your scalp free from sebum" for those who don't know, sebum is the mixture of oil and sweat that naturally coats your hair and scalp and is a protective layer. This girl dont know what she's talking about

No, it does not call “people who has oily scalp”, it is a medical condition called “folliculitis”, if you get it, you get flares with this acne, you have to go to a dermatologist or a family doctor and an antibiotic will be prescribed. Do NOT pull your hair as it shows in the video, you pull it with a root of your hair, no hair will be growing in that spot.

There is bacteria, hair and dead skin trapped in that area, but that lesion is not actively infected. This does not require oral antibiotics. Antibiotic ointment may be helpful however to prevent infection and reduce inflammation.

Short hair, sun and salt seawater! From a normal skateboarder full with psoriasis I tried surfing! It cured me! And I still love the surfing, .... and being clean!

Not every opening requires an antibiotic 😂. Not if you have a healthy immune response

No it is not caused because someone who has an oily scalp. Its just because of the foliculitis and many reasons include fungus infection, viruses, really sweaty head or any other part of the body that has hair and its usually the staph bacteria that causes it because it lives on our skin and if it gets inside somehow it will infect the hair folicle usually. Medications can also cause. I absolutely do not have oily scalp and I would get it in a particular place and so the dermatologist had to give me a cortical steroid to bring it down and when I did that it stopped.

You don’t need a topical antibiotic for a goddamn pimple 🤦🏼‍♀️

isn't this the same girl who did know the difference between whiteheads and sebaceous filaments?

Sebum is a necessary thing though! It makes the hair healthier and more shiny and flexible! I learn hair styling and just saying you do actually need it, though not too much of it

I’m pretty sure that I had one of these before. And it became a huge to the point that anytime I would move my head. I would feel it. Then it went away on its own.

Could you talk just a faster so that it's even more difficult to understand what exactly it is you are saying

She said that first part so fast I couldn't understand what she was saying. I had to replay it 5 times!

Antibiotics is not something you throw at every minor bacterial infection, this is why the world has a problem with antibiotic resistance.

You did say topical antibiotic. I think your video is very accurate. 😊

It's just a scalp pimple. Those are so common and not harmful at all. 😅

Topical antibiotic? Get real 😆
It will heal and clear up just fine. Absolutely no professional is going to just throw antibiotics at something like this in a frivolous way.
