AP Statistics | 6.2.1 | Linear Transformations of Random Variables

Показать описание
This lesson covers 6.2 (part 1 of 1) from The Practice of Statistics: Transforming and Combining Random Variables. We go over how to linearly transform random variables (aka what happens to the mean and standard deviation of a distribution if you multiply an entire set of data by a number or add a number to every data point?).
SWBAT (Students Will Be Able To):
—Describe the effects of transforming a random variable by adding or subtracting a constant.
—Describe the effects of transforming a random variable by multiplying by a constant.
