Maths teacher here: this is NOT a histogram- notice how the y axis is frequency and not frequency density. To find the frequency of each bar on a real histogram, you would multiply the class width by the frequency density

it is not a histogram. it is the frequency diagram. the histogram should have frequency density in y-axle.

I tied this method to visualize and appreciate the median concept:
Instead of a graphical histogram, make a linear set of observations:
{6, 6, 6.5, 6.5, ...9 times.. ...7.5, 7.5, .... 25th & 26th value... 7.5, 7.5, .. 8.5, 8.5, 9, 9}

Clearly, the 25th & 26th values are 7.5. Median value: 7.5

You shouldn't have pulled random numbers that don't relate to the graph. This makes it confusing to what you're looking at since both sides of the frequency and sleep hours are similar. When someone like me is comparing what I have to what you might have, in this simplistic view, I cannot figure out what you're doing step by step.

But this isn't a histogram, though.. histograms have freq. density on the Y axis, not frequency, and the class widths aren't all the same - this is just a bar graph..?
