The whole game is basically escaping things.
1. Escape Aperture with Wheatley
2. Escape GLaDOS
3. Escape old Aperture
4. Escape Wheatley.

"I think we can put our differences behind us. For science. You monster."

Gotta love that faint 'Whoa' from the turret in the background! :3

if glados was that huge, the game would be a pg 13 horror movie.

I like how starting around 1:00, you can hear Wheatley's leitmotif.

Hey look buddy, I run aperture, that means I make tests. Not like math tests, because that wouldn't benifit our company at all. I make portal tests. For instance, how am I going to stop some monster from escaping the facility? The answer, is reconstructing science. And if that dont work, reconstruct more science

There is no portal 3 because they can only hold 2 portals in the gun.

My teach plays a Portal playlist whenever we have a test or something, be jealous.

"Remember what was the biggest lesson I learned from what you did?"

"We're a lot alike you and I."

"You tested me. I tested you."

You killed me. I... Oh no wait, I guess I haven't killed you yet."

"Well, food for thought"

Am I the only one looking at the album and thinking "JESUS CHRIST how huge is GLaDOS!?"

If Portal 3 existed, it would probably be a prequel.

Everyone loves this song, and I do too, but I cannot stop thinking about that turret saying 'whoa'.

Portal 1 and 2 have very different music. One is very sad and empty, and the other is energetic and electric

I like how the song goes through the whole game. The music starts off with GLaDOS rebuilding the facility (0:00), then *SPOILERS* Wheatley gaining control (1:01), then he is defeated and it sounds kind of happy (1:20), then GLaDOS is fixing the damage (1:35). That's why I love instrumental music. It can explain a story without the need for words.

I love the turret saying "whoa!" at the end...

So upon listening to some of the portal soundtrack for around five seconds, I found myself formulating a Cave Johnson centered cult. I mean, his dialogue presents endless potential for the foundation of a life philosophy, "Science isn't about why, it's about why not!" could be a tenant of some sort, "Science" could be a quasi parallel to "Holiness" or "Faith", as in you too see some guy walking down a hall in a lab coat with a book of quantum theory held tight against his bosom, and you think to yourself "That right there is a man of great Science."
Our insignia could be that of a lemon, wreathed in flame...
Now I'm not saying I would... but if I were to... how many of you would consider joining?

Ahh, memories. This is the song that inspired me to play Portal.

For those wondering why GLaDOS is huge, here's why; Cave Johnson was clouded with guilt of what he had done to his wife. Everything in this picture is all of his problems he hasn't fixed. The person in the picture is not Chell, if you look at the shape and lining you can kind of make out a suit. The ruins and shit are the pieces of the facility (before he died) that were falling in disrepair. GLaDOS is the biggest because it was his biggest thing he was guilty about.
