My Saturn is my favorite blaster that I own. Reliability, comfort, and accuracy are the most important traits for me, and a traditional looking rival shotgun fills all those criteria perfectly.

I know and am fully aware that the Takedown is not the most battle-effective blaster, but hey, it was on clearance sale for a really large discount and I wanted a Rival blaster to use. Did also add some speedloaders to make it slightly more battle effective (it also helps that the HvZ games in my area don't have as much emphasis on having the absolute best blasters).

I’m just starting to get back into nerf as an adult after being semi into it as a kid, and this channel has been my go to before purchasing a blaster. Not only that, it taught me that flywheel powered blasters can be just as fun as spring powered blasters.

I was a stickler for spring powered blasters for a long time because “that’s what I grew up with *old man sounds*” but now that I own a Hera my opinion has changed.

Flywheel really does seem like the master race.

I absolutely love the consistent naming scheme for the Rival blasters - An M denotes flywheel-powered, the following numerals are for the release year (minus 2000), and the final number is for the provided round count (multiplied by 100). I can be like "oh wow the nemesis was released in 2017? That feels like it's so much less time than it actually was."

I definitely like the Perses as a primary, the Kronos as a sidearm, and the Fate as a single-shot plinker (priming the Apollo and the Knockout were hard on my wrist). I liked where they were going with the Finisher making it so kuch easier to reload over the Kronos (even with the third-party speedloaders), but the mag well being so far forward made it hard to holster and I guess they never felt the need to revisit it since the Kronos was still selling well.

My favorite rival blaster I own is my modded helios with a worker pump kit, it has plenty of power and has a great form factor, and it has saved my life at many HVZ games.

since the perses came out my loadout has remained the same. Prometheus primary, covered in dump pouches for reloading, sidearm is a Herrrra with a few extra mags, Perses is my corner clearing weapon and is also good for running around faster. I don't use springers because A)flywheel master race and B)stealth isn't important for a heavy gunner.
