To celebrate the release of the 'None More Negative' box set, superfans Jami & Dom from the band Code Orange got to sit down with surviving Type O Negative members Johnny and Kenny about the band's epic history.

In this clip Johnny and Kenny talk about the initial failure of 'October Rust' after coming off the booming success of 'Bloody Kisses'. During this time the band also drove across America to tour with Ozzy Osbourne.

💚💚💚💚💚 I wish they made a documentary on Type O Negative and Peters life. Beyond talented and criminally underrated.💚💚💚💚💚

So funny watching Johnny tell these stories while Kenny sits there and racks his brain trying to remember them. You can definitely tell who did more boozing on the road ;)

Just two years ago my old boyfriend showed me type o and I went and bought October rust and I listen to it nearly everyday. I love wolf moon and love you to death, Peter was so sweet and had a way with words his girlfriends were so lucky. RIP wonderful man

I remember seeing an interview in a guitar magazine during the making of October Rust and Peter was quoted as saying "There are going to be a lot of military influences on this record." and when it finally came out and me and my brother listened to the entire thing my bro brought up Pete's quote and jokingly said "That was a lie" lol. Type O & Pete are sorely missed. The 90's were the glory days for me as I just got out of the Navy in spring of 1995 and was only 23. I was stationed in Maine so I'd get to go to shows in Portland (Metallica) & other shows in Fitchburg & Boston, MA (Anthrax, White Zombie, Quiksand, Megadeth, Rob Halford's "Fight"). But it wasn't until the summer of 1995 when I got to see TON open for Queensryche in NJ.

Long story but I moved to Seattle & my brother ended up working for TON which in turn Peter asked my younger bro what my number was & he called me. From that point forward he'd put my name on the guest list and I'd be able to them without getting crushed, near other people etc. Last show I saw them was at The Roseland in Portland, OR. RIP my friend.

After watching these series of interview vids, I've developed a deeply personal alternative fantasy world in which Johnny and Kenny are my lost lost Uncles, and we're in a day-time sitcom focusing on the juxtaposition of me being a 40 year old awkward English guy and I've just had to move to Brooklyn. I'll be setting up a Patreon to make this a reality shortly.

Type o will always be in my top 3 favorite bands of all time. When i found out that Pete passed. I put on " wolf moon" and cried. Then a few weeks later got my type o logo tattooed. Miss you guys.

Should not have cut the interview short, He was still talking about the mix of the album and then you cut the video. I wish Josh was there, I know he is an EMT now, but he did a great job, producing and putting these records together with Peter and the band

October Rust is my favorite Type O album and what’s funny is that I was one of those people who bought it through Columbia House! Man do I miss those days!

I have No Idea how this album didn't sell more when it first came out. It was Amazing Sonically, Atmospherically and Musically.

Going platinum by Columbia House sales! I laughed and reminissed at the same time! Peter like humour, glad to hear Kenny and Johnny still have it.

October Rust is one of my top-fave TON albums, tied with Bloody Kisses.
Commercialized or not, the stuff on OR is just amazing.
