She didn’t play any differently today from earlier in the tournament. The difference was that Iga was a different class. She didn’t play badly she just couldn’t force Iga to miss.

She was outclassed by Iga today. She didnt play well because iga never gave her that chance with her spin and agressiveness. Emma has nothing to counter Iga.

I am Polish and naturally I was rooting for Iga during this match, but you have to appreciate Emma Raducanu for fighting from start to finish and not making any theatre on the court, she just played as best she could that day.

In my opinion, Raducanu is an intelligent player who knows how to use her chances when her opponent is having weaker moments. In this match, Iga simply did not give her such chances. I wish Emma Raducanu good health and good training, because she definitely has a talent for playing tennis.

She played at a level that Iga allowed. Iga brought out her weakness

Iga is just too good, she’ll win many more slams.

This was a slaughter. No two ways about it. The scoreline reflects it.

I like the fact she never gets mad or any histrionics at all on court despite going through tough times.Gotta admire her humility and respect for the game❤

She should never have said earlier that “No one wants to pull my name in the draw.” Iga”’s probably saying “I’ll play you every week if you let me!” 😂

Swiatek's impressive conditioning and fitness levels are a significant factor contributing to her success on the court, regardless of her tennis quality.

Proof that we really don't always need a press conference. Pointless.

The amount of bad comments towards this girl is just amazing, just because she won the US Open, and then took some bad decisions, and had a lot of injuries and couldn't keep up the level. But I see a player that knows how to play tennis, that always fights, was she outplayed today? yes, and so what? aren't every players outplayed at a given time? why so much hate on this girl? maybe jealousy is the answer.

Why the negative comments ?
Meddy out by qualifier ...crazy !!
Zheng out 2 nd round she was top 5 to win tournament ...osaka out
Fernandez out ....Raducanu out 3 rd round rank 60 not too bad ...and 300k ...

Emma has the beautiful tennis style & technique but as she said herself: "When the top player plays perfect..." Iga when plays 'her tennis' is in the different league! Phenomenal tennis! Such a pleasure to watch her master craft! So self-conscious in life and on court! Calm, mentally sharp, emphatic person with no celebrity stardom! Just modest and smart profesional cutie! They both respect each other's talent!

Emma is a very professional athlete, even after terrible loss she remained stable, focused and collected for the press.

She had to say that Iga had kicked her ass, thanked the journalists, stood up and ended the press conference. There was no further analysis than the Polish woman swept the woman.

Her third match of the season, against former WTA #1. Raducanu is still playing with a work-in-progress, non-functioning serve. Even so, she lasted longer than more than half of the seeded players in the tournament. Perspective and context.

The fundamental difference between the two players is shot production..Emma leaves no room for error with her flat hitting with power and needs to be on it all the time, while Iga plays her ground strokes with more precision and higher over the net. Something Emma will have to consider if she is going to reach top 10.

Just a quick two questions for the tennis experts and pundits, if a player loses 6-0, 6-0 in the WTA in this case but takes her opponent to deuce in every game has she played badly?
Secondly does it upset players when others can make more money away from tennis than they do playing it?

If some of you just looked at it from a tennis aspect, and actually, listened to what she was saying instead of she’s so pretty, she’s moaning, she’s a fraud… honestly it’s so childish people. She was well aware she got hammered from a player who is 100% difficult to beat. Swaitek’s wrist action is incredible. Not a great fan of Swaitek’s demeanour but she is a terrific player. You have got to play cat and mouse with Iga, hit it away all the time not straight back mid court. Draper nearly lost his match as the ball was returned to the Aussie player consistently but he has a fighter spirit, just like Murray had. Emma needs to find that fight even when down. Maybe she has a level that can’t get better, who knows, but she doesn’t deserve bitchiness when she’s the one on court and you aint. Pegula lost 6-1 too in this tournament and Sakkari lost in 1st round, it happens from a low ranking on a high ranking player too. Emma beat both last year. Emma has a lot to learn and it would have been better for her working up the ladder and not winning the US Open, get over it, it happened, same for Leylah, but it certainly shook the woman’s game up completely from US Open on.

Tennis is made up of two pillars - Mental strength and physical endurance/ability. I don’t want to say where Emma lands in both. I’d leave the pleasing personality, the good looks and everything else as diversion. These won’t help to win tournaments.
