He said something really important and has been consistent about this since realizing China is coming on extremely hard in the EV space, where they can produce incredible EV products a lot cheaper than we can in the USA.

As he says, Tesla needs to not only do what it has done (electrification) but it needs to solve FSD. He has said this for 5 or 6 years now. CRUCIAL! This is all about AI and why the are investing many hundreds of millions.

He is implying that even Rivian who is the best-established American EV company will have a really hard time getting to profitability - even though by all indications they make excellent vehicles

Now, if Musk can do something about Tesla's floundering stock. It's been "THREE YEARS" since Tesla’s 3 to 1 stock split and Tesla investors have lost millions to billions since the split. And as of Sunday October 13th, the only return on their investment is the successful launch of a Starship and the recovery of Superheavy booster. Will it be that Elon will colonize Mars before Tesla stock reaches $400 dollars a share? I expected more from a rocket scientist. Signed, disappointed investor.
It you were a Tesla investor at the time of Tesla's 3 to 1 stock split, you would have lost 75% of your investment. And for three years, Tesla investors have been financing Elon's rocket launches by approving a $56 billion dollar pay package while Tesla stock continues to flounder. And yes, he obviously spends more time at SpaceX. Not a single investor, including billionaire Ron Baron, has made any money on Tesla's stock and is down millions of dollars. And he is not the only billionaire or investor, that for now, has lost millions on their investment in Tesla. For now, Elon has failed his investors in Tesla.

If Tesla sales are hitting all time highs why is the stock down? Would it have been better to direct StarBase costs into Physics exploration for a a new propulsion approaches rather than building huge rocket systems?
