Yesterday I overheard one of the saddest conversations between children that I have ever heard. We were at a gathering with adults and children. Children ranging in age from 3 to 14. One of the older kids has been living the trans life for the last few years with support from the parents. The kid is already suicidal and been hospitalized a few times. I overheard one of the younger kids asking in confusion about the ' trans' kid saying, " But she is a girl!" With an older kid 11 correcting the little boy saying, 'Him! He/him!" It's not at all my place to interfere with these kids but it is so disturbing to hear this.
