I want to encourage all medical workers out there, as a surgical nurse i have been loving my profession in nursing and have worked in two countries . In addition to having a good profession it also helped in my strategic investing plans that allowed me to purchase my third home, supporting my retirement goals..

Your videos are always concise, to the point and relevant, especially for IMG doctors! It provides those of us still overseas with valuable insights into what we can expect when we finally start working as doctors in Australia. Thank you for that.

I love how clear and concise your videos are. The cherry on top is the outline you give at the beginning.

I loved your channel before when I'd follow just for the ER content. But then I started thinking about being a physician in Australia, and suddenly it became my dream. When I found your videos talking about it, I was relieved! Thank you very much for your effort. It is a theme that might not appeal to everyone but I'm sure your viewers are very grateful for your effort and content just as I am. Thank you so much! Cheers from Brazil!

Like I said before, it is the same thing, 30 - 40 years ago, you take the plan exams 300candidates, passing it 11%, which mean you have to be in that 11 peoples, you are saying salaries, £80 to £100, 000 that is when you have done your training for 5 years and another 5 years, working and getting your experience.

Hey I just stumbled across this channel as I want to move back to Perth once my medical studies in Germany have finished up. Great content, keep it up! Would love to hear your opinion on the different types of specialties with workload, shift work and pay.

Total salary for fy2 /pgy2(before taxes): 7250 AU$ (87, 000 AU$ per year)
Rent :2500 AU$ (for a couple with 2 kids)
Groceries : 900 AU$
Utility bills : 350 AU$ (includes gas, electricity, water, phone, wifi)
Medical insurance for 2 : 1000 AU$ (not for PR and citizens. Assuming img as without PR)
Medicare Levy 2%: 1750 AU$
Personal grooming, Council tax, Public transport and other miscellaneous charges: 1000 AU$
Income tax on salary: 1550 AU$ (18742 AU$ per year)
Total expenses per month: 9050 AU$

Savings per month: 7250(salary)- 9050(total expenses inc tax) = minus 1800 AU$

So this means, a PGY2 doctor on a basic work schedule, and his unemployed wife can save nothing in Australia? (negative savings)

UK and Ireland seems better than this..
