Tavarish, you seem like you're 'wanting' to just go ahead and replace the motor. Pull the motor. Put on engine stand and turn it upside down and pull the plugs. Let it drain. Pour some trans fluid in the cylinders thru the plugs and lightly turn the motor. Then let sit for a few days. Invert motor and spin the crank. I would never just jump straight into another engine just for the sake of doing such. I've worked around too many machine shops that would do what you need before going gonzo on another engine. Just because water got into the cylinders doesn't automatically mean a death sentence. HOWEVER, I know you're looking at the cost of engine replacement & your income stream from the channel, but it would make a MUCH bigger series (more $$$ for you and a better education for your audience). Think about it. If you're going to do this...try methods the rest of us gearheads would try before sinking eternal amounts of $$$ in it. I'd give it a try.

Tavarish oh Tavarish you been one of the best Youtuber for me I was excited to see every single video of you, but unfortunately I'm starting to get tired cause there is less content and you talk more than you do! Don't make your videos like podcasts put more content and talk less sorry to say it like that but that's how it is.

Before giving up on the engine, get the water out of it and at least drain the oil. Letting water sit in the cylinders is not optimal, but its not the end of the world.

People resurrect flood cars all the time after water sat in them without even opening them up. Worse case situation, open it up, inspect the bores and rebuild as necessary. I'm sure Ferrari engine blocks are not cheap and this one is potentially original to the car.

Until engine is stripped down you dont know its definately and pistons are gonna be needed anyways with turbo conversion

WAIT. the motor wasn't running when the fire department poured water in the engine. What makes you think it's toast(the irony)? It didn't hydrolock.

It’s full of water cause they had to put the fire out with something lol

The motor might not be shot just drain all fluids and water and soak in wd40 or oil and it probably would fire up....

C'mon, what are ya talking here, the engine's trashed? Yank it, drain it, clean it and machine it, bearing and ring it, install it, abuse it.
Don't make me come down there, young man!

Just rebuild the engine. Will make for some good videos. Especially since you want to turbo it, you will need to upgrade the internals anyways!

Did a quick search, you’re looking at between $10-$13K on a drop out engine and I saw one listing with entire engine bay for $30K!!! 🤯 Good luck, can’t wait to see what you do with it.

Refurbish the motor, become youtube f355 legend

Suck the water out of the cylinders and pour transmission fluid down in each of them. Crank it over by hand a few times.

*This video is awesome for one main reason:* How many Ferraris do you seen taken apart the Jeremy Clarkson way? WITH A HAMMER!

Tavarish that engine is still good!!! Look all you need to do is don't turn the crack over at all! the oil inside is protecting the crack shaft and bearings. If water get on the bearing then your toast. Drain all the oil out, find the cheapest oil you can find, because you will be immediately disposing of it, and all you do is once you get new parts on the engine, add diesel to the new oil, start the car, and let it run to operating temperature then it off. Drain new but now totally toxic oil out and repeat this process once more and after that you should be good bro. This is the method used to save flood Vehicles and i've saved a few lol. Good wrenching lol.

We realized that when you bought TWO of Hoovies rejects.

Edit: After looking at the replies I feel I need to point out this comment was made in jest.
