...Perhaps the World?! But should you buy a cheap supercar if the engine doesn't work? Obviously not! But that hasn't stopped John from buying another 'bargain' project car, even though his 1986 Range Rover project hasn't progressed much at all! If the engine is broken then it may well break us! But, if it turns out to be an easy fix this could be un Fantastico Affare!!

We have bought the cheapest Ferrari in Europe even though we really shouldn't have done, for lots of reasons!! If the engine starts we may have a bargain on our hands, if not, things might get bumpy! As an extra special treat the follow on video to this will be out next week!
For those of you hankering after more Range Rover action; we'll be back to that in January!

Thanks for not adding background music when they are talking. I hate other channels who have music going on their entire videos. So annoying

I`ve just subscribed. I have one of these and as an ex workshop proprietor here in NZ can say these are an extremely easy car to work on being relatively simple with NO ELECTRONICS. I`d rather do a cambelt on this than most modern cars for example. The webers are simple and once set up properly give absolutely no trouble and contrary to common perception do not require constant attention. Most complicated thing is their ignition with the two distributors and 4 sets of points but even that is simple enough in reality. Of our Ferraris it is the most admired by the general public, most even prefer it to later cars which makes me laugh to myself when I think of the opinions of road testers when it came out. Very few liked the looks. I look forward to the next video

308gtb, my mate bought one 30 odd years ago on a regular salary! we both went to pick it up and half way through the trip back to his home he stops and lets me drive it a bit, (never driven ferrari!) best treat ever... Few years later he picks me up in the Testarossa, We lost touch, (long story), don't know what he's driving these days but we both loved exotic bikes and cars.

Hi Edd, this is the best present for the New Year's tree :) It is really exciting and lovely to see such a not ordinary car as a project and what is much more valuable for me is that John purchased it. I mean you know, if you watch a series movie you normally do not like appearence of new characters) I am so happy with new project and old team - your old friends. That is remarkable. Thank you and hope for new RR and Dino episodes coming. All best wishes to you, your family and your friends.

This is the perfect kind of Ferrari I'd want. Looks great from 20ft but not too nice to drive. I'd sort it mechanically, buff it, take it out only on nice days, not worry about the body/paint, and put LOTS of miles on it. I've restored a car to show quality once and never again. Too much work and then it's too valuable to risk driving. This one is great and you're not scared of leaning against it. Then again, from what I've heard, there's no more expensive Ferrari than a cheap Ferrari.

I'm happy to see your new repair car video. When I was in elementary school I loved Wheelers Dealers I watched nearly all episodes on Discovery channel. I learned many car parts from your tv series. I live in Türkiye. Now I'm 27 I can repair my car and motorcycle. I gratefully to you for teach us. Thank you very much for good memories.

One of the best things about watching shows on the "fixing" of old cars that have expensive and or hard to find parts is that it basically forces the repairing or refurbishment of broken or worn parts. That's when the good stuff happens as we get to see creative repairs and skilled workmanship fixing what you already have. In this case it's not going to be a totally original car so you also have leeway to get even more creative on the repairs. Looking forward to the next episodes :)

Poor Edd, Tom Selleck wrote in his recent biography that at 6 feet 4 he had to drive with the Ferrari’s Targa top removed most of the time to prevent his head from hitting the roof while filming

Brings back memories of Richard Hammonds yellow one on TG. It’s probably one of my favourite models. Looking forward to seeing you and John work some magic on this automotive masterpiece!

Hey FYI with the bodywork I talked to a GT/4 owner a few months ago about this with the rust, and the reason for this is ferrari didnt start using galvanized steel until about 1984, when the Quattrovalve 308 kinda came into play, hence why these earlier cars can be abit rust prone, as I remember another 308 Dino GT/4 that is local to me, and seeing the same kinda bubbling on its quarter panels

he did say they are lovely cars, and they actually drive better than the latter cars, as they have a longer wheel base, and are more stable at speed, and still have a lovely noise on their own

so while it needs more work, it should be worth it in the end, and if you have to respray it

dark green is quite lovely, mind you the red piping and accents might have forced you to stay red with this
