My dad worked on F16 computer systems during the 2nd Gulf War. He spent 10 years in the USAF. F16 are hotrods of the sky lightweight wrecking machines.

F-16 has 11 hard points, 1on each wing tip, 3 under each wing 1 center pylon and 2 on the chin for sensors. pylons are 1 through 9 and 5R and 5L. these two extra pylons also have switches in the cockpit to provide power. These switches are located to the left of Fire Control Radar and Radar Altimeter switch to the right side of the Stick.

I was told the F-16 from runway taxi can take off, vertical climb to 20, 000 ft., level and fly, course opposite take off direction, at M 1.5 all in 15 seconds.

The F-16 was not originally produced to be a multi-role aircraft. It was specifically designed for dogfighting superiority and nothing else. It has evolved into the multi-role platform it is today.

The F-16 at around 1.7 Mach and at a certain altitude actually begins shaking due to the airframe reaching its natural resonance frequency, and its best performance is below that speed range. Of course, it is capable of flying up to Mach 2, but it is not advisable at certain altitudes.

I really have never understood why aircraft were so limited to how many rounds they could carry. I know there is a weight and storage issue, but it doesn’t take very long at all for a gun like the rotary cannon to go through 500+ rounds.

They are the best in the air, even the F-22 needs to prove it's combat abilities when compared to the service record of the F-15 and F-16's

My stepbrother flew the F-16 as bomber escort in the Gulf war. He sent us a piece of paper that looked like Iraqi money that they dropped on the Iraqi troops. On the reverse side was a description of what POW’s were being fed, how well they were treated, and suggested that they surrender instead of dying in the desert with all of their supplies cut off 😂
