The F-16 really is a great jet that has stood the test of time. So versatile and very much upgradable for evolving threats as they come up. I actually talked for a good while to an F-16 viper pilot after an airshow near my old house about a decade ago. When I asked him how he'd fair against an Su-27 series type airframe in a no holds barred fight he just grinned and laughed at me in a confident, amused way. While he said an Su-27 type jet is admittedly a very good aircraft, he said throughout his experience with an F-16 and what he could tell me as a civilian, and his explanation about red flag exercises, he was glad he's on the side with F-16's. Wish I could have learned more, but I know they can't tell random civilians much in the ways of capabilities and what they know. Still was cool though.

This f-16 is from the Hellenic airforce and it’s a blk52+ variant (which will be upgraded to blk72 soon) from 343 squadron at Souda bay.

I dont know man, for me the Viper is one of the ugliest Jets ever made 😅
