Thanks for your video. I’ve been converting my files with those same settings as you have set in your video. I’m just wondering how the conversion works. Do these DNG files incorporate the xmp files that were alongside my old NEF files and actually store the edits and all the metadata formerly held in the xmp file inside the newly created DNG file? And do I need to change any catalogue settings that were previously set up with the creation of the xmp sidecar in mind? Just trying to wrap my head around the conversion so I can move forward with a full understanding of what the DNG files are and aren’t, and what they contain and don’t contain. Any chance you know?

I want to stop Lr converting to DNG the Convert Raw files to DNG is unchecked so why is Lr doing this and how can I stop it?
