“A man who never fears the fall is blind to the cliff in front of him”

Beautiful.

He did tell the truth when he said bad people need a villain to make themselves feel better.

Crazy to think that Al Pacino didn't even receive An Award for His Excellence in playing Tony Montana in Scarface.
That to me, is just crazy.

Just goes to show how good of an actor Al Pacino was, this man played Tony Montana and Michael Corleone, 2 different types of characters executed perfectly.

"A man who is able to stand in front of a gun like he's invincible." So that's why they had to kill him from BEHIND

Too many people idolize Tony and try to pattern themselves after him. Scarface is a cautionary tale of wanting it all and people still miss that to this day.

The classic villian mistake Tony commits is believing his own delusions of grandeur. Frank warned him the guys who are all flash don't last long.

Achieving the dream is not what we actually want. It’s the pursuit itself. Scarface’s descent began when he got everything he wanted

Tony broke one of the Ten Crack Commandments, "Never Get High Off Your Own Supply". Which he did in great abundance.

Tony’s relationship with Manny is the heart and tragedy of the movie, and their decaying friendship reflects the downward spiral of all his other relationships: his betrayal to Frank, disrespect to Gina and failing marriage with Elvira, which all brought down his empire. In essence, Manny was the one who got Tony a fresh start in Miami by receiving the Rebenga hit that got them green cards and the connection to Frank and the business, but throughout the whole movie, Tony kept stepping over Manny like his subordinate rather than respecting him as an equal. The other irony was Tony’s refusal to carry out the hit on that family for Sosa, which was really his only redeemable value in the movie, but that also sealed his doom and for those closest to him…except Elvira who got out before the hellfire rained down on the House of Montana.

Yo I just noticed how in the scene where Tony has Frank killed, he eventually has the exact same suit Frank has on when he goes to confess his 'love' for Elvira. Goes to show how his self proclaimed hate for Frank was really an admiration of how he wanted to be just like him.

Tony killing Manny was the end of him. Manny's planning / sober mind was crucial at that moment. Good Job 👍

Tony's dismissal of Frank's rules speech and other principles in the beginning does a great job of foreshadowing his fate. By the end of the movie Tony has broken every rule or piece of advice Frank tried to give him.

I enjoyed the PS2 sequel tae Scarface. One thing I loved, in that great game was something that was pretty minor.

You cannot kill innocent people.

Tony can take out his gun, aim it at a civilian, but when you pull the trigger, he instead puts the gun away and says things like, "Get your fucking head straight Tony". It was 100% in character for him!

Also, Jaws has a cameo in it.

-Tony doesn’t want his sister to be involved with criminals
-Tony sets up his sisters shitty hair salon as a front business for his criminal activity

This made me realize this something: Michael Corleone needs to be explored in his own episode. I hope we can see that one of these days. This channel is amazing :)

The one person he truly feared was his mother that scene where he is high AF he couldn't even look her in the eyes it showed a vulnerable fragility in him very child like Tony is a very complex character even if Scarface has a simple story line his character is well ironed out.

The amount of variety on this channel is crazy. Can't wait for the Tony Soprano episode. Hopefully, in the future he can cover Light from Death Note, he would make for a pretty solid video.

Tony coveted Frank's life, he even married his wife. Tony gained the lifestyle but because he hadn't taken heed to what Frank told him, he wasn't able to handle or maintain it. I believe tony was more of a glutton than a eyes were bigger than his abilities!

Something that I really like about Tony as a character is he doesn’t try to manipulate to get what he wants, he takes it, even if it could get him killed he says how he truly is feeling and stands by It, which catches people in the movie off guard and the audience
