That was a fun lesson to film and quite an experience digging into John Bonham‘s drumming 🙏🏼 What‘s your favorite Bonham recording that I should listen to?

Back in the early '80s, I would pay good money for drum lessons and most of the time spent was learning rudiments . Not many teachers spent time breaking down songs we all wanted to learn. To young drummers out there.. Be thankful you have YT and really great teachers willing to show you how. I had to figure it out for myself..

Old bassist here you really break these riffs down and build them back up.
I could see any drummer getting an excellent lesson from you.

FINALLY SOMEONE WHO ANALYSES KASHMIR!
I think it's the greatest drum sound and performance ever recorded

Great video! I would have loved to see the Good Times Bad Times lesson extended in to the triplet grove. I know the concept but still have trouble with it. Thanks,

As always, Chris, you break things down so well -- into the "learning order" -- and your production standards are wonderful. It makes it a doable and enjoyable process. Extra points for your vocalization on "Kashmir."

I just picked up one of those PDP kits about a week ago. It's an incredible value. The tones you can get are incredible.

Easily the best breakdown I’ve seen of this iconic intro. Thank you so much and cheers!

I can't believe you can break this down so even a beginner like me can follow it! I am going back to some basics first but I think this 1st one at least is doable. Thanks so much, and have a Happy New Year's.

Thanks for all this. My personal fav Bonham groove is Nobody's Fault But Mine...but there are too many to pick just one. Thanks.

Outstanding job!!

Love how you break down the parts and how you clearly show each beat and the components.

nice job. your Fool in the Rain shuffle is one of the nicest out there. many play it, but you have the distinctive feel and subtle nuances of how Bonzo played it. LOVELY !

Those drums sound amazing! Brilliant explanation!

This was an exceptional presentation and explanation of the subject material sir. The breakdown of Bonham's parts and how to practically apply them with repetition is a very logical approach that I think will yield positive results for all your students. Thanks again

I love these huge pdp kits they are so amazing and paired with those paiste cymbals is perfect set up for a drummer.
Most drum kits sound good even if they are cheap but the cymbals are not forgiving when it comes to cheapness
