Karen, I have been a Lecturer for past 23 years in a college of Technology. I have written papers even beyond my base, but this video has made me a 'novice' with the present research that I'm in. Excellent!. May I know if I want to write part of a research work for my supervisor to review, will the method be the same as for a publication? For example if I'm working on 'Thermo-mechanical ageing of Al-Mg alloy' and I have presented my proposal, production of the alloy. If the next stage is heat treatment, will I present the report to capture (1) importance of the study 2) information required 3) research objective? again?

Hello Karen from Scotland! I really find all your videos so helpful and I am thankful I have found your page. I am currently in my third year of my honours degree in biomedical science, and I'm currently writing a research paper on recombinant protein expression in E. coli. But as this research is already known and has been accomplished in previous years, how would i adjust my intro to suit this? As I don't think I can mention what was missing in this scenario, we were simply just repeating an experiment for experience and good practise for our dissertations next year.
