I’m going to be honest and this isn’t about political stance or debates. But for some reason, I used to be subconsciously wired to think Chinese engineering was inferior and not up to standard (you can probably immediately guess where I’m from). But seeing documentaries like this show how the Chinese are some top notch builders, conquering tough terrain challenges that dwarf what most have to overcome. Of course people immediately jump to the quality of such endeavors, which is rightfully warranted. I just look at how regardless of differences, when brains come together, true progress and success are the outcome. And don’t try to “insult” me as being some “Chinese sympathizer”. I’m simply giving credit where it’s due.

The Chinese seem to have something most of our Aussie politicians don't..and that's vision, getting all this work done.

Absolutely amazing, and the Chinese people appear happy to share their successes.
The Chinese people I have met are friendly, respectful, of our culture, and I have been happy to have them visit.. 🎉 They have made their own luck and appear to have made their economy the luckiest economy on the planet 😊

Being Indian …it’s tough to say this but we cannot beat china at all…if we continue be like this…and rules regulations are so weak and nothing happen much if we breaks it..corruption and dishonesty..bad quality are the biggest cause

As a woman, I'm thankful to all the men that worked on all these infrastructure projects. And I'm thankful to all the women that looked after the children and cooked meals for the hardworking men on all these dangerous construction projects

There isn't a direct correlation between safety and speed of work. I work in London where they resurface roads overnight, but around my home in the suburbs they take a few days, and it's still not as good as the ones in the City. All depends on contractors, equipment, quality of materials, techniques, manpower, money, etc.

This is hardwork and cooperation combined. If every villager worked hard but didn't cooperate (due to mistrust, personal interests, NIMBY, or some other reason), the couldn't have been built. If they cooperated but not worked hard, so much growth would not have been possible.

China’s technology achievement has been hailed by many experts and has become one of the world’s leading infrastructure projects ever seen that China 🇨🇳 can made these by their own initiative.

Who needs tv when YouTube has 1000s of channels to watch documentaries non stop unlike tv where you watch 1 documentary and it’s over love this 👌

China firstly has the courage and the brains to undertake such projects. With the nation fully connected by logistics infrastructure and eventually the realization of very cheap energy from the Thorium nuclear stations; her mission to be an advanced technological and a very balanced-social nation seems achievable. Let's wait and see this exciting future!

I came to LA in the late 70s. There was an article mentioned to construct a high speed train from LA to Las Vegas in the mid 80s in the Los Angeles Times. It is still nothing after 40 years.

I can only imagine what it must be like in the first few weeks of a project on this scale. It must feel overwhelming. But once it nears completion the pride would also be overwhelming.
