HISTORICAL Hurricane TEDDY Swell | BIGGEST EAST COAST in Years!

--Season 2 : Episode 49--
Hurricane Teddy combined with a Nor'Easter to provide the biggest swell to hit Cape Hatteras since Winter Storm Riley in March 2018. And as the swell began to die, there was a window of said 12-15ft barrels, and a few bigger sets pushing near 20ft! One of the top biggest barreling days I've ever seen in the OBX.

And then on Day 2 we were graced with an all day wave feast, from dawn till dusk. What a blessing of surf after getting hammered for 5 days with the road closed and washed out.

And @Koa Rothman got to be here and witness it!

I thought I was going to dread a 42 minutes film but this is one of the best surfing vlogs I have seen in a long time. So many skilled surfers. So many giant waves. Action oriented from start to finish. Honestly I don't know how you had the stamina to continue through the entire second day. Very high quality and epic from start to finish!!!

Thank you for recording these epic days.At 63 years old my days of experiencing these kind of waves are over.In my younger days living in Cocoa beach in the late 70’s 76 thru 78 we experienced some epic days that were similar.No go pros, no digital cameras, only film and super 8.Worst of all no one to record the events.Only memories and old guy stories.By watching I do get to relive the images in my mind.Again thank you for sharing.I worked at Mike Tabeling’s surfboard shop in Cocoa during those years.

Yo Brett,
I’ve been going to Hatteras for years.
And I’ve always wondered about Diamond Shoal.
Yes, I know it runs about 8 miles out and it’s insane. But.... You have a drone, you live there and you have access to jet skis. So what about the far end of the shoal? With 2-3 Day old storm swell out of the northeast with a 5-10 mph south west breeze, and tow ins. I’m guessing and hour before to an hour after high tide. This might only work once every 5 years. But if anyone has the ability and equipment it’s you Bro.
Think about it. You’d be the first. And in today’s surfing world, that very rare.
