Great! Very helpful. The best explanation / demo of the mobius I’ve seen. One question: Let’s say you want a thimble or ring in that (mobius) end. Can you pull the mobius “eye” open big enough to pass over a thimble or ring? I guess it depends on the size of rope, thimble / ring.

Clear and easy to follow. Sometimes content creators ask for suggestions. I have one. It's just for the tapering, how to work out the interval for the number of strands in the cover or core and number of threads to pick out and trim off. But like the other gent is asking. Only a small point but might be useful to many. Thanks.

I'm so useless at tapering...any advice? For some reasons I end up cutting the same strand I previously cut. Also, how do you calculate to always have exactly a 2 or 1 or 5m rope? Could be another video 😁 I'm trying to splice a couple of 2m ropes but always 5cm short, frustrating.

Better use a closed, one piece thimble to avoid compression and strands fraying/cutting
