Thank you! After I hit CTRL-ALT-DEL and clicked on the power icon and then Restart at the lower right, the normal desktop screen came up immediately (instead of the blue page with options). Now I am afraid to even do updates. Obviously many people have this problem after an update. What the hell is wrong with Microsoft that they can't solve this common and extremely frustrating problem.

For anyone who used ctrl alt delete, and it didn’t work, you can try to hold down the power button until your computer shuts down, then reopen ur computer by holding down the power button again. This worked for me, but if this and the video doesn’t work for u then ur just cooked.

Solution Very well provided ..went up with step 01..didn’t solve the problem ..but after the cmd and sfc/scannow it worked..thank you so much for providing accurate method without idling with unnecessary steps

I performed the steps until I saw the Windows recovery screen (0:27), then I clicked Continue. Everything went back to normal! Guess I got lucky!

Uninstalling quality update did the trick, thank you so much friend. I almost about to reset my windows, tried all CMD commands with no luck and uninstalled graphics card driver as well. Wasted lot of time trying to restore to a different restore point several times. Nothing works, but it was this stupid quality update - was with out access to my PC for two days. You saved me lot of pain.
