Shure Sm57 vs SE Electronics Se4400a Comparison

Currently recording an album and working on my Grade 8, sorry for no videos. This is me playing a little riff I made mic'd up by a shure SM57 and an SE Electronics SE4400a. The two being compared both placed about an inch away from the speaker ( a dunlop ultex sharp .90 plectrum and 3/4 of my little finger away was the exact measurement) both mics were placed slightly off center of the speaker. Riffs are EXCELLENT! SM57 edgier, SE4400a smoother, more rounded. James sounds great no matter what techno gizmo he is putting it through! Thanks! Sounds Great!

Smoother sound with the SE4400a -
I got myself one for bass-voice and bass-instrument recording

my suggestion for the SE4400a:

an expert told me about this mic that it is known for multi purpose use
and there will be no need to use an additional equalizer for voice and bass.
the more you spend, the less work you have on the sound later.
and the SE4400a is right there, but for more treble we should
adjust the rack equipment and the layered result
could even get better with the SE.

Hey man, for instruments you want to use the SM57 over the 4400a every time. When it comes to vocals you will probably want to use the 4400a! Good luck on your album
