The Edge has an icredible feeling for playing the right rythym in delay sound. You can hear it in most of U2's songs and that's what makes them so great! Also a unique sound that can only be played by him, some may try to play the sound but they can never fully nail it like The Edge.

Does Edge run his delay in stereo to two AC30s or is the other amp just a back up?
Second, I believe his primary Vox AC30 is a '64, I don't believe amps back then came with an effects loop. Did Dallas create an after market effects loop to the Edge's amps or is all that delay and reverb going directly into the input. I know the new AC30s have an effects loop. His delays are just so clean and the modulation on them is really clear, so I would be surprised if it was all into the direct "top boost" input, so thats why I ask.
